 The hoopoe is the national bird of Israel, our tiny and heroic country.
 I meet her again and again, almost like meeting an old friend.
 Her colors – black, white and warm shades of brown and copper, seem as if they were carefully chosen by God.
She always manages to stop me when I meet her among the trees.
