ABOUT ME

From a very young age I loved to draw. I would take a pencil and paper with me wherever I went.
My mother saw that I loved to draw and at the age of 6 she enrolled me in drawing lessons with the painter Thelma Israeli, where I learned to paint in oil on canvas, mainly landscapes and nature.

At school, I used to draw little illustrations on my tests to make the teacher like me — hoping she'd go easy on me if I had wrong answers.
I once found myself sketching white blood cells raising their glasses at a cocktail party.
It worked. She really let it slide.

Painting has accompanied me throughout my life, always by my side in different social moments and situations. It allowed me to express myself and became a form of therapy. It was and still is my “wingman.”

Over the years, I studied drawing and painting in various alternative settings, and I continue to learn to this day. I believe we never truly know enough, and we should always strive to keep growing.

I don’t quite find myself in today’s reality. The fast, digital, synthetic world doesn’t move me, and I’ve always felt drawn to simplicity and a nostalgic kind of magic.
Sometimes I feel like the song by Alon Olearchik: "An analog guy in a digital world"- that’s exactly me.

From a very young age, I was captivated by music from the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s, and I used to record songs onto cassette tapes.
I collected small objects to capture moments forever: pebbles I saved from trips, autumn leaves pressed into notebooks, and things I knew would soon be replaced by newer, more advanced versions. I wanted to “rescue” them from a changing world rushing forward without looking back. That’s how I ended up keeping tokens, movie tickets, cassette tapes, and more.

I believe beauty lies in classic, simple, unprocessed elements, and I’m always searching for traces of an old and fading world.

My paintings are built in layers, mainly with oil paints. In the early stages I sometimes incorporate mixed media—acrylics, markers, collage, and more.
I combine classical and nostalgic motifs and imagery: nature, women, birds, still life, and old objects from my grandmother’s home, may her memory be a blessing.
Together, these elements evoke deep emotion and a sense of warmth, sometimes even a gentle ache for something just out of reach.
My style can be described as abstract realism, occasionally touched with surrealistic elements.

When I paint, I’m filled with energy and optimism, and suddenly everything feels possible.
My goal is to continue evolving, to paint abundantly, and to touch the souls of those who long for simplicity and magic.
